Heritage Days 2008Article and Photo GalleryWe again celebrated Hampshire County Heritage Days in Romney at the Bottling Works thanks to the generosity of the Loy Foundation. We appreciate their cooperation in trying to put the "Heritage" back into Hampshire Heritage Days and look forward to being back on September 12-13, 2009. Unfortunately, this years celebration started out with the threat of some hurricane action with rainy skies on Saturday, so several of our displays did not appear. This hurt the outdoor appearance, but filled the building's inside with a few more displays. |

This Heritage Days we had a new video and slide show for the event. These are two short educational media presentations to help people learn more about our site and our work. The first one discusses the course of French and British settlement on the North American continent and where the war started. The silent slide show discussed the progress of our archaeology. In light of our current lack of volunteers and shortage of funds we included a request for people to get involved in our work.
