Roadside marker looking east

    Bear Camp was just east of Winding Ridge, elevation 2610 feet; these two photos looking west with road marker to right of road just before crest. One can see how steep the ridge is like many of the ridges of the Allegheny Plateau facing Braddock's army as they struggled to move their heavy supplies westward.
